Try the new full screen mode!
Ed's Portfolio » Devlog
I've changed and improved a lot of things lately:
- All the arcade machines now use the new mesh model, which not only offers better performance by using less materials and textures, but it also provides better resolution on them.
- I replaced the ugly gifs that were showing on the arcade screens with actual videos of the games... or at least on most of the cases, except where a video does not apply.
- I've added my most recent projects, so there's now a total of 15 arcades; it's a travel through time from 2002 to 2022 in my game dev career!
- I also fixed interaction issues when pressing the ESC key to pause, and the info screen of the games always appear with the correct position.
- But what I'm really excited about is that now the portfolio supports full screen! What's a game with better graphics if you can't see it in full?
So what's next? I've probably reached a point where I can stop for a little bit and focus on other projects, but I still have some ideas in mind, like:
- Supporting mobiles (which would be really important since most people arrive to the page using their phones).
- Adding some game mechanics... not completely sure about this; it can be fun, but it could also make visitors to lose the focus on what I want to show.
I don't know, I'll make a decision depending on how these latest changes are received.
